Themainpurposeofthejob ToassistinprovidingtimelyestatesandvaluationadviceandservicesinthemanagementanddevelopmentoftheCouncilsestate. Toensureanefficientandeffectivecorporateestatethatmakesbestuseofandextractsoptimumvaluefromtheassets. Toassistinensuringthatallinternalcontrolsystemsareeffective,efficientanduptodateincludingtheassetdatabasesandregisters,AssetManagementPlan,GISsystemsandpropertymanagementsoftware. Maincontacts Councillors,officers,tenants,contractors,publicandprivatesectorbodies,charitableorganisations,statutoryauthorities,utilitiescompaniesandmembersofthepublic. Themainpurposeoftherole: ToassistwithreportingverballyandinwritingfortheHeadofService,DeputyChiefExecutiveandStrategicDirector,CorporateBoardsandGroupsandadvisingCouncillors. ToadheretotheprinciplesandpracticesestablishedwithinCouncilflagshipactivitiesandstrategiesincludingtheAssetManagementPlan,EqualityandDiversity,RiskManagement,BusinessContinuityandDisasterRecoveryandcapitalprojects. Ensurethatallinternalcontrolandsoftwaresystemsareuptodateandworkingeffectivelyandefficiently. Ensurethatallworks,servicesandsuppliesareprocuredinaccordancewithprocurementguidelines,policiesandstatutoryrequirements. EnsuredemonstrablevalueformoneyintheprocurementandmanagementofallrequisiteelementspertainingtotheCouncilsestate. InconsultationwiththeHeadofServiceandEstatesandPropertyPortfolioManageridentifyopportunitiesforinvestment,valueformoneyandserviceimprovements. TocontributetotheformulationofCouncilpolicy,particularlyinrelationtotheCouncilsestateandvaluationsservices. Toparticipateincorporate,professionalandstakeholderworkinggroupsasrequired.
